Comments: I have not seen authentic material from Oregon. Early records (Frye & Clark 1937, p. 35) should be verified because of confusion in past literature. Doyle and Stotler (2006) state that this species is known only from California. See also paper by Stotler and Doyle (2004) for SEM images of spores.
