Synonym: None.

Special Status: None.

Recognition: A small, thalloid liverwort with finger like lobes very similar to Riccardia latifrons. From this it differs in having oil bodies in most of its cells. Also, the lobes in this are narrower and longer.

Distribution: Grows on rotting wood pretty exclusively; in wet lowlands west of the Cascades.

Comments: As likely overlooked as rare.
