Special Status: ORBIC 3.
Recognition: Green gemmae on round lobed leaves.
Separated from S. irrigua only with difficulty. The presence of pale, green gemmae is characteristic. The dorsal lobe tends to narrow gradually to the base while the dorsal lobe in S. irrigua is more rectangular. See Paton (1999) for a useful discussion of diagnostic features.Distribution: On peaty soil close to running water; high Cascades and along the coast in Oregon.
Comments: Not in key to the genus but keyed through S. irrigua.
