Recognition: Pale, ghostly yellow green shoots with stubby bilobed leaves. Underleaves are prominent, bilobed, with parallel sides. Oil bodies distinctly brown, finely botryoidal or granulose.
Distribution: On rotting wood or strongly organic substrate; widespread at lower elevations in western Oregon.
Comments: The pale color of these plants on a rotting log makes it stand out from other bryophytes.
